The subject of the procurement project is the award of a contract for the supply, installation and implementation of active WLAN components for retrofitting the WLAN infrastructure of the St. Marien Amberg Clinic along with service and maintenance services.

The Klinikum St. Marien Amberg ("Klinikum") is a hospital of care level II with 578 beds, 20 day-care places, 17 specialist departments and four Belegabteilungen.In the networked medical centers are dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of special diseases (e.g. tumor and vascular diseases). In the affiliated St. Marien Health Center, patients can be treated and advised on an outpatient basis. The differentiated and highly specialized range of services is offered "under one roof" and in close cooperation with the specialist departments of the hospital and the doctors in private practice in the region. The aim of the hospital is a comprehensive modernization and digitization of administration and patient treatment in order to achieve efficiency increases and cost reductions and thus to be able to guarantee modern, high-quality and sustainable health care.

To this end, the hospital intends to retrofit the WLAN infrastructure for the high-performance, nationwide digitization of the properties. This includes the delivery of active network components as well as the installation (replacement or replacement of the existing active network components as well as retrofitting or expansion) as well as the implementation of the WLAN infrastructure. Furthermore, service and maintenance services are to be provided over a period of at least three years. In addition, switches are also to be supplied as an option.

To finance the project, not only own funds, but also state grants in accordance with funding element 10 of the guideline for the funding of projects for the digitization of processes and structures in the course of a hospital stay of patients in accordance with Section 21 (2) KHSFV in version 03 as of May 3, 2021 ("Funding Guideline") will be used.

Therefore, in addition to a defect-free provision of services, it is essential for the hospital that the requirements of funding element 10 specified in the funding guideline are fulfilled by the services procured with this award procedure and are provided within the specified time frame.

The main subjects of performance include:

• Delivery of the active WLAN and network components as well as the necessary software components (licenses);

• Retrofitting and construction of the high-performance WLAN infrastructure adapted to the properties by installing the WLAN and network components and connecting them to the existing LAN cabling during ongoing operation as well as disposing of the associated materials and components;

• Implementation of the established WLAN infrastructure in the existing IT system landscape of the client and the everyday work of the employees as well as necessary services for commissioning

• Provision of training services for the employees of the client's IT department, and

• Service and maintenance over a period of 36 months from the date of commissioning of the WLAN infrastructure with regard to the hardware and software components supplied.

The procurement project and the contractual performance obligations do not include the services required for cabling and thus for the creation of the LAN infrastructure. These services are provided by a company commissioned by the client. The contractor is therefore obliged to coordinate and cooperate closely with this company if necessary.

All services are to be provided by the contractor, ensuring uninterrupted clinic operations and always in close coordination with the client.
