Design, construction, completion and maintenance of 7,5 km Dual Carriageway trunk road widening generally to the west and east of the existing A9 trunk road. Works include, but are not limited to, provision of new carriageway to provide dual carriageway standard, underpasses, earthworks, drainage, including Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS), road markings, signing, accommodation works, service diversions, environmental mitigation measures, and on completion of the construction a 5 year period of maintenance for landscaping, replacement of road markings and defect rectification will apply. Ongoing cyclic maintenance shall be carried out by a third party appointed by the Scottish Ministers.
