VAV owns high voltage installations that are connected to the water treatment facility at Oset. The type of high voltage installations at Oset must be inspected in accordance with the Act on the Inspection of Electrical Installations and Electrical Equipment (the Electricity Inspection Act). VAV is the owner of the actual installation, whilst Hafslund owns the concession that the installation was constructed under. The network company (Hafslund) is, pursuant to the Electricity Inspection Act, obliged to have the electrical installations inspected within its supply area and VAV can, as the owner of the installation, contract a tenderer to take on the responsibility for operation and maintenance.

VAV would like to enter into a contract with a tenderer who can take on responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the high voltage installations.
