The Contract is for the provision of board up services as required in the Strathclyde Police Force area to secure damage to non-police buildings and prevent further damage or loss. The Contractor will provide a single point of contact to provide all necessary resources to provide board up services as required in the course of operational policing business. The service must be available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and 365 days per year throughout the Contract period. The Contractor will provide sufficient service providers to be able to attend any address within the Awarded Divisional Force Area within 30-60 minutes of being notified. The Contractor will provide a call handling service which will select, dispatch and stand down service providers at the request of Strathclyde Police. The Contractor must provide a freephone telephone number that is unique and dedicated to the Contract. Service Providers are required to attend premises, as requested to make the premises safe and secure. The majority of services required are for the provision of emergency board ups (where the owner/occupier is not present); other service requirements may include the replacement of locks for social/welfare reasons, the provision of full repairs (where Strathclyde Police is responsible for cost of repair) and for the provision of Sitex metal screens or equivalent. The Contractor must provide Strathclyde Police, on a monthly basis, data showing the call handler's performance in respect of call handling in respect of call answer times which are performance requirements of the Contract.
