Purchase of protection and safety equipment and material for the three workplaces of the European Parliament (Brussels, Luxembourg and Strasbourg). This material is intended for protection and safety officers; it is necessary for them to carry out their missions and the related training activities.


Protection equipment and material

Each lot provides for two sets of materials:

— a set of so-called mandatory materials, and

— a set of so-called non-mandatory materials.

1. The mandatory set is made up of materials meeting the technical characteristics detailed in Annex I of this document, on the understanding that the contracting authority requires the supply of all of the constituent items for each of the lots;

and

2. The non-mandatory set consists of materials with characteristics that are not specified in the documents of this invitation to tender, but which fall within the context of the lot. These materials will be ordered from a catalogue proposed by the contractor.

For information purposes only, the non-mandatory materials to be provided in this catalogue are as follows:

— lot 1:

• axe;

• snow shovel;

• broom;

• stepladder;

• power generator;

• portable projectors;

• 24 V flashlight operating in a humid environment;

• security or storage cabinets;

• high visibility jackets in several colours with personalised printing;

• consumables for first-aid kits, including plasters, sterile gauze pads, crepe bandages, etc.;

• consumables for first aid training make-up kits, including fake blood;

• and diverse other protective equipment and materials.
