The council require a competent and experienced contractor who will work collaboratively to achieve the desired timescale for the delivery of the remodelled waste transfer station as per the works information and to the desired timescale identified for the project as agreed in the contract. The works briefly comprise:

— demolition activities including buildings and service yard,

— construction of new waste transfer building (including specialist works),

— construction of new workshop building (including ancillary offices),

— construction of new weighbridge office,

— civils works associated with the buildings,

— civils works and remodelling of the service yard,

— wash down station,

— weighbridge including specialist civils (by named subcontractor),

— installation of electrical and mechanical services (including co-ordination of new utilities).
