Fortum Oslo Varme, FOV, produces and distributes renewable district heating in the Oslo region. We provide safe and environmentally friendly treatment of residual waste that cannot, or ought not, be recycled, and recover energy from waste and other environmentally friendly resources, in order to provide green district heating and electricity.
FOV is the largest supplier of district heating in Norway and makes up 36 % of all district heating generated in Norway. Work is being carried out on large development projects, and the company intends to establish a full-scale carbon catchment plant at Klemetsrud.
The company is owned 50/50 by Fortum and Oslo Municipality and is part of the Fortum group, which has the operational control.
The company was established on 4 August 2017, when the previous Hafslund Varme AS was merged with Klemetsrudanlegget AS. The new company currently has approx. 180 employees. The company has office premises at Klemetsrud and Skøyen.
