The laser safety officer supports the client (client) in accordance with OStrV in the implementation of the

Risk assessment according to § 3. in the implementation of the necessary protective measures according to § 7 and 3.

when monitoring the safe operation of lasers in accordance with sentence 1. It creates a holistic overview

on the inventory of all lasers (equipment) used at HZB and in the course of this creates a cadastre

with essential information/characteristic values for the laser, location, type of use, technical data, etc.

For the initial need for support, HZB appoints a laser safety officer to the extent of

initially 700 hours/year (estimate) with a weekly presence of e.g. 2x approx. 7 hours on two

Days of the week, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
