Malvik Municipality invites tenderers to participate in the contest for 'E4 Construction Contract’ for Saksvik Sewage Treatment Plant.

Malvik Municipality will demolish the existing sewage treatment plant in Saksvik and construct a new plant on the same site, Rønningsvegen 31. Some preparatory work for this must be carried out in 2021. At the same time, a new sewage pump station will be established at Vikhammer, as well as temporary cleaning in Saksvik. The preparatory work must be coordinated with these other contracts. When all of this is in place, the demolition of the existing building, ground work, and construction work for the new sewage treatment plant will start.

The project will be carried out with divided contracts, with start up at different dates throughout the construction period of approx. 2.5 years. The provisional plan for execution of the different work is shown in the table below.

A contract will be signed in accordance wtih NS8405 for the construction contract.

The following work is included in this contract (E4):

— demolition of the existing treatment plant;

— ground reinforcement by cement lime stabilisation in order to secure the site excavation;

— establishment of temporary sheet piling towards the east and south in order to secure the excavation;

— piling work for the foundations of the new treatment plant;

— construction work for the new treatment plant, consisting of a process plant and personnel part, with the accompanying work in the ground. The building has a pool construction in waterproof concrete for the cleaning process;

— HVAC and sanitary installations for the process plant and personnel part, including a heat plant for background heating;

— background heating wells with background heating pipes (approx. 10);

— water borne snow melting installations (approx. 200 m2);

— relaying water and sewage pipelines and connecting water and sewage to the new treatment plan;

— upgrading Rønningsvegen, developing the access and driving areas, approx. 300 metres;

— replacing water, sewage, and surface water pipelines along Rønningsvegen;

— electrical cables for street lights and conduits for fibre along Rønningsvegen;

— developing the site and green areas;

— removal of approx. 300 m of temporary access roads and barracks area.

The scheduled start-up is Une 2022 with completion in October 2023.
