With the realization of 3 supply and rectifier stations on the north side of the North Sea Canal and the subsequent installation of the connection points on the spring landings, GVB wants to start the test operation from March 2021, after which the exploitation of the electric ferries on the North Sea Canal will commence.

The objective of this project is that the contractor to be selected realizes the 3 supply and rectifier stations and the lines and cables from the stations to the spring landings in a timely manner and delivers operational readiness. The phasing of the project is as follows:

- completed construction team March 2020 – May 2020,

- testing DO by GVB, concluding a building contract, drafting implementation plan and plan and applying for remaining permits May – July 2020,

- execution (by contractor): August 2020 up to and including 31 May 2021.

The contract consists mainly of:

- the contractor working with GVB in the construction team to work out the provisional design into a definitive design in a RAW specification, drawings and appendices and to make a definitive offer for this,

- GVB will then test the final design (hereinafter: DO) in the form of a RAW specifications, drawings and appendices and the associated RAW registration state of the contractor against the RAW specifications and appendices and for market conformity as agreed in the building team agreement,

- if the definitive execution tender (associated with the DO) is found to be market conform and approved, the contractor and GVB will conclude a contract for the execution phase,

- the contractor draws up an implementation design and implementation plan (incl. Planning),

- the contractor requests the necessary permits for this project to the extent that they have not yet been requested by GVB,

- the contractor fully constructing and finishing ready for use of the 3 locations in which the feed and rectifier installations are installed, including for each location a purchasing space in which the installation of network management Liander is placed and including the installation of substructure and (pile) foundations,

- the supply, installation, connection and commissioning of the supply and rectifier installations for the 3 locations by the contractor,

- the contractor delivering, installing, connecting and putting into operation the other installations that are necessary for the 3 locations to function properly,

- the contractor coordinating the activities of network manager Liander with regard to the realization of the purchasing spaces in the 3 locations and where necessary for placing the transformer and power supply installations by Liander,

- the contractor supplying, laying and connecting the power cables from the 3 power and rectifier stations to the pont landings by means of controlled drilling,

- coordinating and coordinating with the shipbuilder / supplier of the loading arms and the builder of the loading platforms,

- setting up and carrying out the SAT tests together with the shipbuilder.
