The Alumniportal Deutschland is a cooperation between the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the Goethe-Institut, and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The Alumniportal Deutschland is financially supported by the Federal Foreign Office (AA).
The online portal promotes networking and the exchange of knowledge between Germany alumni, companies, universities and organisations. Germany alumni are people from all over the world who have studied, researched, worked, completed further education or a German course at a German institution. The Alumniportal Deutschland was founded in 2008 and currently has about 20,200 registered community members.
The digital offering of the Alumniportal Deutschland comprises two core areas: a website (www.alumniportal-deutschland.org) and an exclusive password-protected area for the community. In the community (https://community.alumniportal-deutschland.org/), Germany alumni and/or their sponsoring organizations can get to know each other, network, find information, and exchange ideas. Both on the website and in the online community, Germany alumni will find offers on topics related to Germany, the German language, studies, continuing education, science, careers and sustainable development.
The subject of this award is a software solution for community management for the above-mentioned online community as well as the migration of the contents of the existing system.
The community management system is provided as Software as a Service (SaaS), which must work on all common and current devices, including mobile devices, e.g. computers, notebooks, smartphones and tablets.
By awarding the contract to the provider of the software solution for community management, the DAAD intends to conclude a framework agreement for software licenses, technical operation, support and consulting services, development services as well as the migration of members' existing registration and profile data and other content (e.g. groups, members, group content or messages) for the Alumniportal Deutschland.
This framework agreement is to be used both for the procurement of the software solution and the configuration for the Alumniportal Deutschland Community.
Details can be found in the service description in Appendix 02 of the tender documents.
