The tender includes contracts for the collection and transport of food and residual waste as well as food and residual waste-like waste from detached houses, terraced houses, apartment buildings, agricultural properties, municipal institutions and from commercial enterprises.

The collection task in Hjørring Municipality includes the following overall activities:

- Collection of food and residual waste in mini containers. Mini containers can be 140 l, 240 l, 370 l, 660 l, or 770l. The 240 l containers can be both with one or two compartments.

- The collection takes place every 14 days (It may be necessary in some cases to do weekly collection).

- Collection from common solutions in urban areas may be covered by a weekly collection.

- Collection is based on collection according to the pitch-pitch principle.

- Holiday homes and buried containers are not included in the contract.

- The collection also includes the collection of hazardous waste in environmental boxes
