The Brünig line of the Zentralbahn (line no. 470, km 40 500 - 44 500) has always been exposed to rock and block falls and rock falls.

By means of a detailed risk analysis, a total of 51 sources of danger were identified, described, assessed with regard to the risk to the Zentralbahn and a corresponding package of measures was developed.

The proposed package of measures contains technical measures on a total of 11 route sections (with 23 delivery areas), including various rockfall protection nets. Silvicultural and organizational (rock clearance) measures as well as a review of the existing monitoring concept are also planned.
