The County Governor of Hedmark shall implement surveillance of selected rivers and lakes. The surveillance is a part of the implementation of the EU's water framework directive, where the paramount objective is to reach good ecological and chemical status for all water resources.

The County Governor of Hedmark shall implement surveillance of selected rivers and lakes. The surveillance is a part of the implementation of the EU's water framework directive, where the paramount objective is to reach good ecological and chemical status for all water resources.

The surveillance includes physical/chemical parameters, metals, zooplankton, fish, phytoplankton, as well as surveys for periphyton and bentic macroinvertebrate fauna. The contract period is for 2017 and 2018. The total contract period is 2 years. The surveillance service shall be implemented in accordance with the current Guideline for classification of environmental conditions in waters.
