This assignment includes the development, pilot and implementation plan of a “Smart retail dashboard” as described below.
Cities and municipalities in Flanders are increasingly confronted with different challenges to keep the core of trade, and in particular the retail trade, livable. They increasingly want to focus on trade core strengthening through 'active cores'.
In order to achieve the active core, a high quality and comprehensive set of data and information related to the local economy must be available.
The smart retail dashboard aims to develop a central data dashboard in which all relevant data is collected, analysed and visualized in order to support stakeholders around the local economy in order to allow them to:
(a) develop a well-founded and targeted trading core policy;
(b) undertake related actions; and
(c) monitor and evaluate actions in a continuous manner.
Affordability and making data accessible to the various actors is an important objective.
In addition, the Smart Retail Dashboard project aims to develop and test a Smart Retail Dashboard. At the end of the project, the objective is for a consortium of companies to offer the Smart Retail Dashboard to the target group (see below).
