Kongsberg Municipality, technical services, road and traffic section, manages approx. 220 km of municipal roads, pavements, foot/cycle paths, squares and open spaces. The road and traffic section manages the areas closest to the town centre and some municipal main roads. Residential areas and the rest of the municipal roads are managed by hired contractors.

The contract is for the procurement of snow clearing and gritting services on municipal roads, pavements, foot/cycle paths, squares and open spaces, in accordance with the attached area map.

There are 19 areas that are included in the tender contest, 17 of the areas require snow clearing after an order has been placed for this by the contracting authority. The remaining two areas, Heistadmoen and Hvittingfoss require snow clearing and gritting at times when the tenderer considers it necessary and in accordance with the instructions.

Relevant tenderers can submit a price for one or several areas.

There are nomally 15-25 orders for snow clearing each winter season.

The contract period will be 2 years. There will be a unilateral option for Kongsberg Municipality for a 1 + 1 + 1 year contract extension. I.e., maximum 5 years.

It is a pre-requisite that tenderers familiarise themselves with the areas on the attached area map before a tender is submitted.

The contract is for a service contract for 19 freestanding areas.

Tenders can be submitted for parts of the assignment, i.e. one or several areas. Tenderers must have the capacity to carry out the assignment in all the areas that a price is submitted for. A freestanding tender must be submitted for each area.

It is not possible to submit a total price for several areas. Tenders that deviate from the contracting authority's wanted price structure will be rejected.

The tender letter must therefore be completed for the area or areas included in the tender.
