Description:
Transport of flue gas cleaning residues from the Schwandorf waste power plant to the recycling plant

Transport of flue gas cleaning residues (waste code numbers 19 01 07* and 19 01 05*) from the Schwandorf waste power plant to the respective recycling plant of K+S Minerals und Agriculture GmbH. The annual transport volume of powdered residues is approx. 20,500 t/year. The daily transport volume for powdered residues from the Schwandorf NPP (Monday to Friday) is between 50 t and 100 t. The flue gas cleaning residues are classified as dangerous goods, UN 2811, toxic organic solid, class 6.1, III. It is expected that conversion measures will take place on the existing incinerators of the ZMS in July 2023. During the conversion phase, a lower waste throughput must be expected. It is estimated that approximately 12,600 t to 18,000 t per year are produced during this period. The annual amount of lumpy flue gas cleaning residues from the Schwandorf waste power plant is approx. 50 t / year.

Transport of powdery residues

The annual amount of powdered flue gas cleaning residues from the Schwandorf NPT (waste code numbers 19 01 07*) amounts to approx. 20,500 t/a depending on the waste generated. The daily transport volume from MKW Schwandorf (Monday to Friday) is between 50 t and 100 t.

The existing ZMS incinerators at the Schwandorf site are expected to be completely renovated and converted from July 2023. During the conversion phase, a lower throughput must be expected. The accumulation of flue gas cleaning residues must therefore be adapted to the amount of combustion.

12,600 tons – 18,000 tons per year are produced during the conversion phase.

The transports by silo vehicle from MKW Schwandorf, Alustraße 7, 92421 Schwandorf must take place to the recycling plant of K+S Minerals and Agriculture GmbH, Werk Werra, UTV Unterbreizbach, Schacht II an der B 84, 36414 Unterbreizbach.

Transport of lumpy residues

The annual amount of lumpy flue gas cleaning residues from the Schwandorf NPT (waste code numbers 19 01 05*) that have to be transported in Bigs-Bag on special pallets is approx. 50 t/a. Approximately 5 transports are carried out per year by means of tarpaulin trucks. The truck used must meet the requirements of lateral loading. It is not possible to carry out the transport by means of a moving floor vehicle.

The transports by tarpaulin vehicle from MKW Schwandorf, Alustraße 7, 92421 Schwandorf must take place to the recycling plant of K+S Minerals and Agriculture GmbH, plant Werra, UTD Herfa-Neurode, Herfagrund 1, 36266 Heringen.
