For different case study areas (work package 2.1), defined sensitivity experiments are to be carried out (work packages 2.4 and 2.5) on the basis of available data bases (work package 2.2) and by means of a suitable simulation model (work package 2.3) and analysed with regard to flood heights, flow velocities and, if applicable, flooding duration due to heavy rainfall (work package 2.6). Among other things, the focus is on the quantitative recording of the influence of different overcasting scenarios, data resolutions and considered process components on the simulation results in hydrological-hydraulic type regions of Germany.
