This notice is being placed to invite tenders in respect of capacity for a new research and education networking project called AfricaConnect2 (AC2). GÉANT is contracted by the European Commission to connect West and Central Africa (Cluster 2) and North African (Cluster 3)

In undertaking this work GÉANT (www.geant.org) is partnered by regional R&E networking organisations WACREN (www.wacren.net) and ASREN (www.asrenorg.net). South and South Eastern Africa form Cluster 1 and are served by a sister project contracted between the UbuntuNet Alliance and the EC.

AC2 runs from June 2015 to end November 2018 and it will connect the participating national research and education network (NREN) partners.

This call for tenders is in respect of capacity services for an initial 1 year term at 1 GBPS between the Tunisian National Research and Education Network in Tunis and GEANT in Europe at either Marseille, Amsterdam or London.

All connectivity will be used for non-commercial purposes only, duration of contract terms will be set out in the tender documents and long term arrangements will be considered.
