The invitation to tender comprises the procurement of renewable diesel fuel 100% of waste and recycled material for the needs of the contracting entity. The estimated annual consumption is about one million liters per year. However, the contracting entity does not commit to a specific procurement quantity.

The owner of the procurement unit, the City of Pori, joined the Towards a carbon-neutral municipality project in 2016 and is committed to aiming for an 80 per cent emissions reduction by 2030 compared to the 2007 level. The procurement of diesel fuel to be procured through a call for tenders is part of the practical actions of the City of Pori and Porin Linjat Oy to implement the following: project objectives.
