The road surface of the Rozenstraat is not in the same condition everywhere. Moreover, there is still no sewerage in the part of the N70.

The houses drain there to (whether or not piped in) canals, so that the drainage is certainly not optimal, resulting in pollution in the canals and watercourses.

In the rest of the Rozenstraat there is a mixed sewerage system that needs to be renewed.

It is also necessary, in function of the European Water Framework Directive, for the city to invest in the construction of sewers with the aim of polluting surface and

groundwater.

The city is therefore planning the construction of an optimally separated sewerage system and the associated road works in the Rozenstraat.
