The city of Freiberg am Neckar intends to reorganize the city center. In this context, the existing building of the Oscar Paret School (OPS), which is in great need of renovation, is to be replaced by a new building at an adjacent location, with the existing school only being demolished after the replacement building has been completed and making space for further development areas for the city center. The structure of the new OPS is designed as a three-storey urban edge, facing the center, corresponding to the central development.
The Oscar Paret School is a school network in which the secondary school types high school, secondary school, community school (under construction) and technical secondary school (expiring) coexist. The learning workshop, HOPS (OPS homework supervision) and school social work are located in the same building as important partners of the OPS educational Plus +.
