Avinor shall expand central areas at Stavanger Airport Sola (USO1). The expansion consists of expanding the departure hall and storage building which has already begun, as well as expanding the arrivals and customs area (this announcement). The area of the new building is approximately 4 500 m² divided in 3 floors of various sizes.
This contract deals with ventilation installations in the arrivals area. In contract V11 there are 4 new ventilation aggregates with an air quantity of approximately 25 000 m
The aggregates with rotating heat exchanger, batteries, fans etc., shall be installed in the technical room on the top floor facing the parking garage. The same room shall also house refrigerating machines, tanks and pumps that are part of another contract. Each aggregate shall be connected to new channels for supply air and exhaust air. For supply air there is largely vents in the ceiling. Precise installation is required here in regard to other installations, sprinklers, cable runs, lights, etc.
Exhaust is mostly central for large parts of the supply air. With the exception of the central exhaust and central channels and equipment installed in the ceiling at a height of 2.4 to 4 metres above the floor. For installation it will be necessary to have scaffolding or lifts many places.
Channels shall be connected to the existing channel network at some places. A smoke exhaust shall be delivered and installed in a high part of the building.
The airport shall be under normal operations while the construction works take place and the contractors must adapt to the public and travellers as instructed by the construction management. Noisy work must only be executed during given times. Avinor places great importance on that commissioning and testing be carried out in a thorough manner before the equipment is handed over.
