The Deggendorf Water Management Office is carrying out structural improvement measures on the lower Isar between Plattling and the mouth of the Danube.
The aim of these measures is to renaturalise the floodplain landscape and improve the bottom stability of the river.
The "Angergries" measure will be carried out in two construction phases: The 1st construction phase was completed in February/March 2023. The 2nd construction phase is to be completed by the deadlines specified in Form L 214.
For this purpose, landfills (flood sediments) and raised bank edges are removed on the right bank of the Isar. Subsequently, a river profile is excavated and modelled.
The existing riverside path will be prepared in advance as a construction road. It will be gradually dismantled and removed in the course of the removal work.
