The aim of the award procedure is the conclusion of a temporary service contract for consulting services, through which SPRIND GmbH is to be supported during the challenge "Long-Duration Energy Storage". The focus of the consulting services is: (1) support of the teams participating in the Challenge, (2) Support of the SPRIND during the Challenge, (3) Support of the Challenge Jury and (4) Support with further questions related to the Challenge.
The Federal Agency for Leap Innovations - SPRIND GmbH (SPRIND) conducts innovation competitions, so-called challenges. These challenges are intended to help support research and development work by third parties that can lead to breakthrough innovations and attack socially or economically particularly relevant challenges. SPRIND is currently conducting a challenge on the topic of "Long-Duration Energy Storage". The aim of this challenge is to create innovations that provide new solutions for long-term, efficient and cost-effective energy storage. The challenge is open to technology. Conceivable are, for example, approaches based on batteries with innovative cell chemistries or flow batteries, technologies in the field of Power-to-X or thermal energy storage. The subject of this award procedure is the conclusion of a time-limited service contract for consulting services with a focus on (1) supporting the teams participating in the Challenge, (2) supporting SPRIND during the Challenge, (3) supporting the Challenge Jury and (4) supporting other questions related to the Challenge.
The client expects an average of 40 working hours per week, based on the current forecast of six to eight selected teams. Performance requires demonstrable experience in the areas of (a) consulting in an economic department on innovative technologies in the field of energy storage, (b) coaching of start-ups in the field of energy storage and (c) technical consulting in the field of energy storage.
