The Council has a duty to ensure sufficient early years provision is available for eligible 3 and 4-year-olds (as per statutory guidance), including children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and wishes to enter into a contract for an
Enhanced Early Years Provision for children whose identified complex needs make it difficult to attend a mainstream early years provision within South Worcestershire.
The contract is made under Regulation 32(2)(a) as the initial open procedure procurement exercise linked to notice FTS number 2023/S 000-023551 - dated 11/08/23 failed to generate any tenders.
WCC are looking to broker an Enhanced Early Years Provision for children whose identified complex needs make it difficult to attend an early year provision. The intention is to deliver EEYP within South Worcestershire as a pilot.
WCC are looking for a provision within Worcester City or Malvern and have assessed the current sufficiency need could be up to 12 children a year.
WCC are also looking for a provision in Wychavon and have assessed the current sufficiency need could be up to 12 children a year.
