This contract is a service contract within the meaning of Art. 2, 21° of the Public Procurement Act of 17 June 2016.

The service to be performed concerns: the door-to-door collection of paper & cardboard, originating from domestic use, in the area of operation of ILvA, which includes the following cities municipalities: Aalst, Affligem, Denderleeuw, Liedekerke, Erpe-Mere, Haaltert, Lede, Galmaarden, Ninove, Geraardsbergen, Herzele, Sint-Lievens-Houtem, Oosterzele, Zottegem and Kluisbergen. The assignment also includes the transport of the collected paper & cardboard to the acquirer, which is designated by ILvA. The address provided is located in a radius of 15 kilometers from Industrielaan 18 in 9320 Aalst.

The provision of services is part of FostPlus' obligation to take back household packaging waste in accordance with the Cooperation Agreement. To that end, the contracting authority has concluded an agreement with FostPlus, the approved body for household packaging waste. It is also the latter who will reimburse the services provided by the service provider in the context of this contract as regards the packaging part of the mixed paper-board.
