The Department of Justice (DoJ) requires a contractor to run the NIVAWS during the years 2019/20, 2022/23 and 2025/2026. Given, however, the uncertainty that prevails regarding the future budgetary position, it is only possible at this stage to guarantee that the 2019/20 survey will take place. While it is fully expected that the additional sweeps for 2022/23 and 2025/26 will also be undertaken, the DoJ will not be in a position to confirm these latter surveys until closer to their due dates.
