NND's assignments consist of carrying out reviews in accordance with the review instructions and KVU/preliminary projects in accordance with the government's project model. NND will also carry out several measures that require impact assessments in accordance with the relevant legislation. This concerns, amongst other things, decommissioning nuclear facilities, and establishing new facilities for the treatment, storage, and disposal of radioactive waste.

Formulate decision basis that, amongst other things includes reviews in accordance with the review instructions, socio-economic analyses, ripple effects, and carrying out projects in accordance with the government's project model, including:

* Small and large reviews in accordance with the review instructions

* Formulation of KVU in accordance with the government's project model

* Carrying out preliminary projects and formulation of central steering documents in accordance with the government's project model

*Socio-economic analyses, ripple effect analyses, etc.

Case management, including, amongst other things:

* Planning and carrying out planning and building processes and impact assessments

* Preparation of case documents

* Describe the need for technical surveys

* Analyse and assess results from technical surveys

Carrying out surveys in order to identify and describe the factors that can be affected by a measure, in accordance with section 21 in the impact assessment regulations.
