The city of Ilmenau has three Goethe museums in listed buildings: the

GoetheStadtMuseum in central central location on the market square, the museum Jagdhaus

Gabelbach located outside the forest and the Goethe House in the Ilmenau district

Stützerbach in decentralized local location. All three houses show the guest the local and regional history and go to
