The University Hospital of Tübingen is planning a “Center for Mental Health” in the Talklinium.
A station extension to the Vita building, Osianderstraße 5, is intended to create space for the psychosomatic clinic to move into the valley.
The following uses are housed in the annex:

- 28 beds in single and twin rooms with attached bathrooms
- ward room per bed level
- examination room
- doctor's rooms and therapy/intervention rooms for individual and group therapy
- lounges with tea kitchens
- Teaching kitchen for specialized treatment settings for patients with eating disorders
- common areas to meet and linger
- group rooms
- Rooms for creative, social, body, movement, physiotherapy, family therapy and biofeedback
- Functional and technical rooms
- open spaces and areas for garden therapy
