Vestland County is building a new road to bypass the landslide-prone Heilevang area on county road 609 The project will take place in Sunnfjord and Askvoll Municipalities. The project includes engineering design and construction of new roads with a tunnel through rock and loose soil, a new bridge and the existing road.

Vestland County is building a new road to bypass the landslide-prone Heilevang area on county road 609 The project will take place in Sunnfjord and Askvoll Municipalities.

The project includes engineering design and construction of:

- Rock tunnel of approx. 2500 metres, including 70m of tunnel in loose soil.

- The existing road is approx. 1250 metres including a new bridge of Heilevangelva.

- Private side and agricultural roads, approx. 1300 metres.

- Landslide protection at Heilevang, both temporary and permanent.

- Landfill areas in Rørvika, Hestvika and Heilevang.

The project will be executed as a turnkey contract with negotiations.
