The object of this contract is a complete project management mission (Moe) within the framework of the Modular Evolution of the Terminal (Emt) project on the city side
The Modular Terminal Evolution (EMT) consists of extending and renovating the terminal infrastructure of Basel-Mulhouse Airport with the aim of improving the quality of service to passengers. EMT is divided into separable modules, allowing for gradual and flexible implementation.
The airport has decided to start the construction of the first module "Public Hall and Screening Inspection Post (PIF)". It includes the construction of approximately 14,000 square meters on the east side of the terminal, the renovation of 15,000 square meters in the existing terminal and 40,000 square meters of exterior facilities on the city side. The target cost of the works is estimated at €85 million excluding taxes.
The purpose of this contract is a complete project management mission (Moe) for this project, from the design studies to the acceptance of the works.
This operation is the subject of a special set-up. A preliminary phase of "concept design" has already made it possible to define the main intentions, the volumes, the articulation of the different functions and their dimensioning. It is a question for the project managers to take ownership and take over the concept already developed, then to develop and concretize it according to their own vision and finally to implement it.
Emt has set three strategic objectives for the airport: (1) to decisively improve the quality of passenger service, (2) to reduce the environmental impact of the terminal infrastructure, (3) to achieve a qualitative development of the airport.
