X-ray diffractometer procurement project for the Institute for Materials Research, which includes the Materials Physics sub-institute, which deals with scattering tests on a wide variety of materials. The core components of this are the synchrotron beamlines operated by the Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht at the DESY branch and the neutron instruments at the FRM-II in Garching.
Project description
A laboratory X-ray diffractometer is required to characterize the material samples by means of scattering methods and to prepare experiments on these beamlines. The complete offer covers the areas of residual stress, texture and phase analysis as well as reflectometry and GISAXS measurements for thin film analysis.
The HZG reserves the right to request a demonstration / test of the offered device concept at the bidder on site or at a reference customer, the presentation / test must be in German or English and confirm all requirements of the service description.
Against the background of the Corona Pandemic Recommendations, this is only done if necessary and only with the first, possibly second most promising bidder.
The total value of the financing of this system is limited; if the budget is exceeded, the right to cancel it in accordance with Section 63 VgV is reserved.
