See II.2.4)
The city of Hamont-Achel wishes to provide tourist access to the De Groote Heide area on the site of the Achelse Kluis. The Hamont-Achel city council wishes to develop a cross-border regional visitor and experience center here. With this project, the city council and its partners want to grab the visitors of the region where they come and distribute them over the entire De Groote Heide area. The focus is on a high-quality (individual) visitor trail and tourist reception.
Depending on this goal, various indoor and outdoor spaces on the Achelse Kluis site must be (re) designed and provided with a scenography tailored to this unique site and unique De Groote Heide area. The development of the scenography also includes the development of digital (mobile) information carriers and audiovisual content.
The assignment thus consists of three parts:
1. developing a total concept, - design for a permanent experience trail with innovative scenographic interventions tailored to the site;
2. elaborating a total concept and design for a tourist reception that gives the visitor an idea of the entire De Groote Heide area as well as the entire site of the Achelse Kluis;
3. the full technical realization of this total concept, design, including the development of digital products: production and site follow-up, review and correction of the progress statements, provision of advice on proposed changes and settlement proposals, as well as technical matters arising during the implementation [.. .].
