'RegioRijder' is a target group transport system of the municipalities of Beverwijk, Bloemendaal, Haarlem, Haarlemmermeer, Heemskerk, Heemstede, Velsen and Zandvoort together. Within this system, transport is provided for various passenger groups: transport within the framework of the Wmo, transport of pupils, MeerOVbus passengers and young people within the framework of the Youth Act. The system is characterized by a separation between control and transport. The control centre is in charge of the aforementioned forms of transport, takes on the journeys, schedules them and distributes the journeys. The carriers then drive the rides.
The command control centre relates to the management function of all transport within RegioRijder from 1 January 2024. On that date, the partner to be contracted in this tender shall take over the management tasks with regard to:
• Demand-dependent transport
• Group transport (route-related)
• The meerOV bus, an additional public transport system in the municipality of Haarlemmermeer.
