The purpose of this contract is the acquisition, installation and commissioning of X-ray diffraction/scattering equipment for high and low angles (WAXS/SAXS) with a two-dimensional detector, the characteristics of which are specified in the specification of specific technical specifications.

As detailed in the Technical Specifications, the contract includes the assembly and commissioning of the equipment at the Foundation's headquarters, the necessary training for its use and basic maintenance during the warranty period.

The purpose of the procurement is the acquisition and installation and commissioning of X-ray diffraction/scattering equipment for high and low angles (WAXS/SAXS) with a two-dimensional detector at the IMDEA MATERIALES Institute, in accordance with the technical requirements contained in this specification. This infrastructure is intended to be a versatile instrument to be used in the study of the three-dimensional structure of very diverse structural, biomedical and functional materials, whether crystalline, semicrystalline or porous from the atomic scale. That is why the equipment must include technical proposals that allow working with a wide variety of sample types in liquid or solid state, and suitable for most types of materials, including ceramics, polymers, biomaterials, gels, nanostructured, porous, etc. clearly differentiated, such as the X-ray source, detectors, isolated experimental chamber, equipment table and the possibility of incorporating different platforms for on-site testing.
