This RFT relates to the provision of geoscientist/environmental engineering consultancy services to develop a Groundwater and Turlough Monitoring and Modelling Project. Outputs will include: design, installation and management of a groundwater/turlough flood monitoring network; develop analysis/modelling methodologies to estimate/improve groundwater flooding parameters and groundwater flood risk maps; develop models to further understand groundwater flooding in different hydrogeological environments; engage with appropriate stakeholders during the course of the project and provide and deliver appropriate presentation material as required.
The Groundwater and Turlough Monitoring and Modelling Project requires a full time consultant Geoscientist/Engineer who will work with the GSI Groundwater Programme to develop and undertake the works outlined in the Specifications of the RFT and supervise the Assistant Geoscientist/Engineer in his/her supporting role. This position will also include the day-to-day management of the project in terms of technical (robust deliverables, quality and consistency) and administrative (time and budget) oversight. It is envisaged that the role will also include significant interaction with stakeholders as required throughout the project.
The Groundwater Programme requires full time Assistant Geoscientist/Engineer to assist in the Groundwater and Turlough Monitoring and Modelling Project. The Assistant Geoscientist/Engineer will undertake and support the office and field-based tasks outlined in the specifications of the RFT. It is envisaged that the role will also include interaction with stakeholders as required.
