moBiel GmbH is planning the reconstruction of the main road in Bielefeld‐Brackwede in the section northwest of Gaswerkstraße and south of Jenaer Straße over a length of approx. 1250m.
The conversion essentially includes the construction of three elevated platforms (Gaswerkstraße, Normannenstraße and Brackwede Kirche) to achieve accessibility and the adaptation of the Stadtbahn tracks for the future
Vehicle generation. At the same time, this will be linked to the reorganization of bicycle traffic, the rehabilitation of the roadway, the bus stops and the renovation of the side spaces.
The subject matter of these tender specifications is the manufacture, delivery and installation of three station roofs for the above‐mentioned light rail stops as well as two bus stop roofs on the Normannenstraße elevated platform.
The overall measure will be carried out between April 2023 and December 2024.
It is divided into 9 construction phases. The installation of the elevated platform roofs is planned in construction phases 4, 5 and 7c. This means that the roofs will have to be installed from the end of 2023. The first precast foundations for the Gaswerkstraße stop are expected to be installed in October 2023.
The work will be carried out without light rail operations. At the time of roof erection, no catenary is installed, but road and track construction work is taking place at the same time. The work is included in the construction schedule of the elevated platforms and must be carried out in close coordination with the civil engineering company involved.
