Support services in the form management server (FMS) area based on the Lucom Interaction Platform.

As a central IT service provider for the state administration in NRW, IT.NRW operates numerous FMS instances, has created solutions based on the LIP and supports them. Other authorities also operate FMS instances with partly self-created solutions, partly with commissioned solutions and partly with hybrid solutions, which are now created externally but are operated by IT.NRW. The use of the form server is therefore varied and individual, which will remain so in the future and should be further expanded. IT.NRW needs support from a competent partner for the operation and maintenance of existing instances and solutions, as well as the expansion of the infrastructure and the implementation of new developments. Depending on the project, the cooperation can be very different and can range from close coordination between the client and the contractor to the independent implementation by the contractor. The expected use of the FMS in the state will increase significantly due to the eGovernment Act for NRW. This makes it necessary to establish efficient development, deployment and maintenance processes.

Solutions created by the contractor may be supervised and further developed by the client after the handover. For this purpose, sufficiently understandable documentation must be drawn up.

Accessibility aspects are becoming increasingly important and need to be given sufficient attention, especially when creating new solutions.
