This call for tenders concerns.
Procurement of QGis training to Nepali experts under the project "Towards Arsenic Safe Drinking Water in Nepal, NeAs". The training shall be implemented via remote connections in English. The chosen service provider shall prepare all training materials that shall remain in the NeAs project´s use after training. The number of participants is 5-10 persons with none to basic knowledge of GIS.
The training topics are:• Basic components: what is GIS, how can we use it as the tools, basic knowledge about attributes,editing etc.• Vector and raster datasets• Projection systems• Georeferencing /Digitization of maps• Geoprocessing• Reservoir capacity determination based upon the google maps and elevation models.• Mapping and symbology
The training should consist of two-hour lessons/training sessions and independent exercises.
The tender must indicate how the training will be carried out:• number of training sessions (minimum 4 sessions)• content/training topics of each training session• proposed dates for the training sessions • the software version of QGis used for training• the application used for remote training sessions (teams, zoom or some other application)• the sessions will be recorded by training organisation and shared to GTK for the NeAs project’s use only
It should be noted that the trainees are in Nepal. The time difference to Finland is +3h 45 minutes, so the preferred time for the training sessions is midday Finnish time.
The desired course dates are April 2023 – June 2023. The exact dates of the training will be agreed between the organisation to be trained (DWSSM), the Customer (GTK) and the Service Provider.
