Farum District Heating wants to establish an electric heat pump of approx. 15 MW heat that can use outdoor air as a heat source. The heat pump must be established at the location Nymøllevej 2b, 3540 Lynge, landmark No. 4m, owned by Farum District Heating. The plant's current district heating plant is located at the location Stavnsholtvej 33, 3520 Farum, approx. 5 km away in a straight line southeast.
The heat pump must take care of district heating production as a "stand-alone" base load production unit, where the heat must be supplied to the transmission line at Farremosen, via a branch on the land. The outlet temperature from the heat pump must be adjustable to achieve optimum operation with the heat pump system, at all operating points.

The total contract includes:
- Connection, supply and installation of complete electric heat pump system with a heat output of approx. 15 MW heat, at an outdoor air temperature of -1
- Establishment of new engineering building. In the engineering building, separate machine, transformer, frequency converter, switchboard, ventilation rooms and control and display rooms (show rooms), storage and workshop rooms and toilets must be installed,
- Establishment of pressure holding systems and water treatment plants to supplement dilution water for the transmission line, as well as the transmission pump system.
The complete heat pump system must be designed for high quality, high efficiency, long life, low noise levels and many hours of operation per year.
In parallel with this total contract, 10 kV of electricity supply cable is established from the nearby main transformer station and up to land 4m, where the heat pump system is to be established. This is planned to be carried out before construction work on this contract is started and is a building contract.
