The subject of the contract is the execution of construction works for the investment task entitled "Superstructure, extension, reconstruction and change of the use of the building to a service function in the field of culture at 8 Fredry Street in Warsaw".
1.1. The project defines the following investment activities:
1) Appropriate use of the potential of the historic building through renovation, adaptation and adaptation of its rooms to the functional functions defined by the program. All adaptations and renovation works will take place in a minimalist way – both in the architectural and spatial layer and in the layer of building substance – in accordance with the Conservation Work Program.
2) Creating additional usable space by adding new architectural elements, taking advantage of the fact of modernization of the building.
The principle of zoning the functions was applied – the levels: -1,0,+1 are available to the public for the purpose of promoting musical culture in Poland (jazz club, concert hall, multifunctional halls), higher levels and level -2 are intended for the archival and exhibition function of PWM, the last floor of the historic building from Fredry Street is intended for guest rooms for residents, and a restaurant. Accessibility of all levels for people with disabilities, legally required fire cages, passenger and freight elevators have been ensured.
The spaces obtained in this way will enable the simultaneous functioning of the rooms despite the diverse functions.
1.2. Purpose and application programme
The building consists of a 5-storey main building from Fredry Street and outbuildings from the south and west.
As part of the reconstruction and expansion, the following utility functions of individual floors are envisaged:
floor -2: pom. technical/exposure
floor -1: music club with catering facilities, recording studio
ground floor level: foyer, music bookstore, library, offices PWM forwarding department
level 1st floor: new concert hall, conference room, dance hall, media library
level 2nd floor: PWM offices
level 3 floors: PWM offices
intermediate floor level between 3 and 4: PWM archives
level 4 floors: restaurant, two guest rooms for trainees
