The University of Jyväskylä (JYU) is planning the purchase of a bench-scale hydrometallurgical process facility. In our research, we develop methods for the recovery of metals from different waste materials, for example electronic waste. This facility will allow us to study the scalability of our recovery processes in larger scale. Modularity of the facility is important for a variety of research interests with different starting materials and recovery processes. Contracting Authority (JYU) may suspend the procurement procedure if the tenders exceed the budget available for the procurement.
The facility consists of equipment listed in attachment 1 and connecting lines presented in attachment 2. The main equipment of the Facility are reactors, clarifiers/settlers, filtration units, solvent extraction units and ion exchange columns. In addition, the facility contains vessels, pumps and connecting lines. The facility consists of corrosion/acid resistant materials with detachable equipment and connection lines. The procurement also includes process design for detailed sizing and layout of the equipment, and technical support during installation and use of the facility. Electrolysis cell, installation and spare parts of the facility are additional procurement options, and prices for these are requested. Prior reference in supplying hydrometallurgical process equipment is requested from the tenderer.
