This represents the fourth tranche, comprising 5 lots of research equipment being purchased as part of the successful 8 Great Technologies joint bid by Heriot-Watt University and the University of Edinburgh. This contract covers an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV); a medium to large autonomous survey class unmanned surface vehicle (USV); 3 small portable USVs; an acoustic communication and navigation network; and an underwater manipulator.
