NHS Leeds CCG has awarded a contract for the provision of a primary care mental health and improving access to psychological therapies (IAPT) service that will achieve the following key objectives:
(a) deliver key national policy directives; including as a minimum a trajectory towards meeting the improving access to psychological therapies (IAPT) access standards;
(b) meet a specific set of needs for the adult population of Leeds as identified within the Leeds Mental Health Needs Assessment (Leeds in Mind, 2017);
(c) fit with the CCGs strategic objectives including addressing health inequalities, increasing integration of services around localities and ‘left shift’ to more care taking place in primary and community settings where appropriate.
The contract term will be for 5 years with the option to extend for up to a further 2 years at the CCG’s discretion, i.e. up to 7 years.
