The BfS needs a portable mobile radio scanner system for the precise positioning of mobile radio base stations and the automatic identification of 5G channels. The system needs to decode various signal parameters through qualitative analysis of mobile phone signals. The 5th generation of mobile communications has introduced the dynamic positioning of the center frequency of the synchronization signal, since then an accurate determination of the 5G signals can only be carried out manually in a very time-consuming manner. The portable scanner is to be used as a drive test system in the KEMF measuring vehicle and as a portable solution for route measurements. The results of a scanner measurement are intended to provide information about the mobile phone situation at the locations examined, i.e. maps with precise position information on mobile phone base stations and an overview of the operators. These results are intended to be incorporated into the KEMF's events and lectures as a means of communication and to provide an accurate picture of the situation.
