This contract is a competition for ideas and the production of stained glass windows which is the subject of a competitive procedure with prior publicity. This contract concerns both the study phase and the concrete realization of the project. Its objects are

• the creation and realization of new stained glass windows for the church of Saint-Jacques in Clermont-sur-Berwinne;

• removal and removal of old stained glass windows;

• storage of new stained glass windows before installation;

• Transport and site installations, including scaffolding and all means necessary for the execution of the work;

• the supply and installation of new stained glass windows and protection systems.

The budget envelope is EUR 160,000 (excluding VAT, amount subject to revision).

The procedure will take place in two phases:

As a first step, the contracting authority publishes a call for applications (via this European contract notice) with a view to selecting a maximum of 5 (five) groups of artists – master glassmakers on the basis of applications.

In a second step, at the end of this pre-selection on file, the candidates authorized to tender will be officially invited by mail. They will submit their proposals which will be studied and decided by the jury. At the end of the opinion submitted by the jury, the contracting authority will award the contract and designate the winner.

This competition is part of the restoration and rehabilitation of the church, for which the municipal administration intends to combine contemporary creation and heritage to make it a space dedicated to worship as well as culture and heritage.

This work is part of the heritage meetings and will therefore be carried out in collaboration with the Walloon Committee for Stained Glass, the Royal Commission for Monuments Sites and Excavations and the AWaP (Walloon Heritage Agency).
