The building complex of the Städtische Gymnasium Kamen consists of a total of 5 individual two- to three-storey components (components A to E) as well as a simple gymnasium with a gymnastics hall. The buildings were built or rebuilt in different construction phases at the end of the 60s and beginning of the 90s. It is a concrete-skeleton construction with a washed-concrete curtain wall.

The entire building complex is to be renovated or modernized in sections in the coming years. Component A (concert hall) and the gymnasiums are initially excluded or put back and are therefore not the subject of the specialist planning services to be awarded. The same applies to components D and E, where structural investigations have shown that the stability of the existing washed concrete façade is guaranteed for another 20 to 25 years after renovation and regular inspections.

In the course of the previous planning for the already commissioned service profiles of the object planning and the building services specialist planning, it is planned to build a new wing as a ring closure in a first construction phase by 2025, before components B and C will then be renovated. Since the preliminary investigations have shown that the fastening of the façade elements is no longer stable, a functioning façade system must be found together with the architects as a template for the existing outer wall. It is also planned to equip the building with a ventilation system. The previous planning considerations provide for the installation of the ventilation unit on the roof. Since this is not designed for these loads, the loads must be distributed to the load-bearing components through a substructure.

The subject of the procedure is the award of the engineering services for the specifications structural design (lot 1) and building physics (lot 2) for this project.

The subject matter of the contract is the specialist planning services for the structural design service for the construction project "Renovation and extension Gymnasium Kamen" briefly described in Section II.1.4 and explained in more detail in the service description (available at the Internet address mentioned in Section I.3).

The contract covers the basic services of work phases 1 to 6 as well as special services for work phase 8 of this performance profile, whereby a step-by-step commissioning of the work phases is provided (see Section II.2.11).

The object of the contract is the engineering services for the building physics performance profile for the construction project "Renovation and extension Gymnasium Kamen" briefly described in Section II.1.4 and explained in more detail in the service description (available at the Internet address mentioned in Section I.3). It covers the application areas of thermal insulation and energy balancing, building acoustics (sound insulation) and room acoustics.

The contract covers work phases 1 to 7 of this performance profile, with a phased commissioning of the work phases (see Section II.2.11).
