The Abfallzweckverband operates a mechanical-biological treatment plant at the site in Deiderode (MBA Südniedersachsen). The subject of this award procedure is the full power supply of MBA Südniedersachsen from 01.04.2023 with electrical energy from 100% renewable energies. This includes the supply of electricity including grid use (all-inclusive contract). It should be borne in mind that significant changes are currently being implemented in the operation of MBA Südniedersachsen and that the electricity demand during the tender period depends on the start and exact extent of the construction work and the associated operating restrictions of the MBA. Self-generated electricity production is expected to be gradually resumed from August 2023.

The supply free collection point of the Waste Management Association of Southern Lower Saxony will be put out to tender on the basis of the forecast of the awarding body with an estimated demand of approx. 2,500 MWh in the period from April 2023 - March 2024.
